Storytelling has the power to inspire, educate, and mobilize. Through sharing our stories, we can challenge societal norms, break down barriers, and create a more just and equitable world. Women’s stories, in particular, have the power to:

– Challenge patriarchal systems and structures
– Highlight the intersections of gender, race, class, and sexuality
– Celebrate women’s achievements and contributions
– Inspire and empower future generations

The Pan-African Network for Gender Justice (PANGEJ) invites women (18-35 years) from African countries to share their stories through a written submission (500 words or less). Submissions can be in the form of:

– Personal narratives of overcoming adversity
– Stories of women-led initiatives and projects
– Testimonials of women’s rights activism, artivism, and/or advocacy

This advocacy storytelling contest is a celebration of women’s voices and a call to action. We believe that by sharing our stories, we can create a more just and equitable world. Judging Criteria:
A panel of judges will select the winners based on the following criteria:

– Impact and relevance of the story
– Clarity and coherence of the narrative
– Originality and creativity of the submission
– Potential for inspiring and empowering others

Prizes and Recognition:
The winners will receive:

– A cash prize of [$50, $30, $20]
– Publication on our website and social media channels
– A certificate of recognition
