She got treated at Aghakhan, International Cancer Institute, Eldoret Oncology. In the process of treatment she met so many cancer warriors that were going through so much frustrations because of abandonment by their people, some had no food and they would go for chemotheraphy or radiotheraphy hungry, some stopped their treatment because they did not have the National cover.

This drove her and her children to begin a support group to assist the vulnerable with food, pay their NHIF and give emotional support. In December 2021, they launched Solace CBO and Solace Cancer foundation in Eldoret, UasinGishu County. Solace serves so many people in the western region of Kenya and has continued to offer emotional support, food, colostomy bags, prosthesis and more so supporting a few children complete their high school education after their mothers take a final blow due to cancer. They also educate women on the importance of early breast and cervical cancer screening.
