Akwa Felicity Asibi (Asiibii) is a professional and impact-driven Creative Writer, Social Justice Activist, Researcher, and Spoken-Word Artist from Jos, Nigeria. She has raised funding for a Social Justice Advocacy Spoken-Word Poetry Album titled “We are all Poets”, and Climate Justice Advocacy Spoken-Word Poetry Extended Play (EP) titled “Earthward”; released in July 2023 and March 2024 respectively.

She is the founder at Rekuma Foods Processing, Sibiscus Publishing, and Sibiscus Coterie LTD.

Her literary works have been commended and awarded by the African Climate Stories, Climate Creatives Challenge, Global Landscape Forum, JOGAMA, and the Africans Rising; and exhibited at the African Narrative on Climate Change: Art for Heatwaves Campaign Exhibition 2024, Bioneers Conference 2024, and the African Climate Stories Festival 2023.

Asibi has spoken at the All African Movement Assembly (AAMA) 2024, and the Global Landscapes Forum Hybrid Conference 2024. She is the Secretariat Coordinator at the Pan-African Network for Gender Justice, a member of the Kabilun Africa Think Thank (Nigeria Country Focal), Africans Rising, GLF Africa Landscape Leaders, Creative director at Punchline poetry Society, and an official of the Association of Nigerian Authors Plateau State Chapter.

Asibi is passionate about promoting inclusivity, climate justice, and challenging negative social norms.
